Yes – Twig & Olive travel photography spans weddings and sessions across the U.S. and in more than 20 countries, offering a seamless experience anywhere. Very few photographers can speak to that level of experience, and we’re genuinely honored that so many couples and families have trusted us to document their stories around the world. Whether it’s a wedding in the mountains, a family session on the coast, or a branding shoot in another city, we bring the same care and consistency wherever we go.
Our Heirloom wedding packages include all travel with no hidden costs, and our scheduled travel sessions do as well. For everything else, travel is straightforward. We’ll work with you to make it happen without surprises. If a city is already on our travel calendar, you can simply meet us there.
The best photo shoot locations in Madison, WI include more than 30 curated spots, along with destination sites we scout for weddings and sessions. You can find some of our favorites in our journal. From natural landscapes to urban textures, we select spaces that best fit your style and vision. Most of our clients trust us to choose locations that complement their session, but we’re always open to requests and will research any new spots to make sure they’ll work.
For sessions outside of Wisconsin, we scout thoroughly in advance. This includes visiting in person, sometimes with help from locals, and often using satellite tools to assess lighting and scenery. If a city appears on our travel calendar, the location is already set.
For portraits, custom locations are available for deluxe, adventure, and generations sessions, whether it’s your home or a favorite downtown block. Mini sessions, however, are limited to our chosen locations.
Weddings are often reserved 12–18 months in advance, though plenty of couples book closer to their date and we’re still able to accommodate. If your wedding is coming up soon, it’s always worth checking availability.
Portrait sessions are best scheduled at least a month ahead, though most families book 2–3 months in advance, especially during fall. Newborn sessions can be booked after 20 weeks, but if your baby has already arrived, reach out immediately and we’ll do everything we can to fit you in. Headshots are more flexible and typically take place Monday through Thursday in the late morning.
Branding sessions are usually booked a few weeks in advance to allow time for planning and styling, while event photography should be reserved as soon as your date is confirmed, since those dates tend to fill quickly.
Even if Doug is traveling, Courtney is usually available in Madison for portraits, newborns, branding, and headshots, so local sessions remain covered year-round.
We include starting prices on our website to give you a sense of where our sessions and packages begin, but photography isn’t something that can be reduced to a single number. Every wedding, portrait session, or branding shoot has its own set of considerations, and we want to tailor recommendations to what makes the most sense for you.
When you reach out, we’ll send you a detailed guide with full pricing and package information. As a quick reference: headshots start at $100, portrait sessions at $300, events and branding at $500, micro weddings at $1000, and full wedding packages at $4,500. From there, we’ll help you choose the option that best fits your needs and vision.
Yes. We offer professional-grade prints, handcrafted albums, and wall art that are designed to last.
Albums are created in partnership with DreambooksPro in Portugal, whose craftsmanship is second to none. Prints, canvases, and framed pieces are produced through carefully chosen labs and local suppliers, giving you a range of options that feel refined and intentional. Every piece is curated to complement your images and preserve them with the quality they deserve.

For anyone working on a tight deadline, we also offer a Rush Editing option. This guarantees delivery within 48 hours for portraits and headshots, and within 24 hours for events and branding (with an added fee).
