Maternity portraits give you a way to remember what this time felt like. That might mean a dress you’ve been excited to wear, your partner’s hands around yours, or your children trying to get close to the baby they haven’t met yet.

Courtney, our co-owner, brings her background as an OB nurse to our newborn work. We’ll help you choose between our Madison studio at Garver Feed Mill, an outdoor session when the weather allows, or photographs at home.
There’s room for everybody
Parents, older siblings, and twins or multiples are welcome. Tell us who you’d like to include so we can plan the time and setting together. Some photographs can be just your baby; others can hold the whole family.

From waiting to a first birthday
Our First Year plans bring four sessions together. They can include maternity, newborn photographs, and the changes you want to remember as your baby grows. We’ll talk through the milestones that matter to you and choose a combination of Mini, Deluxe, and In Home sessions.
Five plans range from $1,200 to $2,400 in total, paid in three installments. The simplest includes four Mini sessions; the largest includes four Deluxe sessions. Other combinations mix session lengths, including an In Home option.

What would feel like you?
We’ll ask about the photographs you’re drawn to, who’s coming, and where you feel comfortable. Our questionnaire and outfit guide give us a starting point. You can send photographs of clothes you’re considering, and we’ll help you think about color, texture, and how they work together.
Something from your wardrobe, or ours
Bring clothes you love, or browse our client closet for another possibility. Reserve your choice ahead of the session, subject to availability. There’s no rental fee; a $30 cleaning fee applies to each dress used.
Photographs that live with you
Your finished photographs arrive in an online gallery within 30 days, ready for you to choose or download the images included with your session. We can help you turn favorites into prints, framed artwork, or an album to share as your child grows.
We’re a full-service studio, with many products made here and others crafted by our chosen labs. The session comparison lists the prints included with each option. Albums and additional artwork are available separately.

Questions about maternity & newborn photographs
When should we book maternity or newborn photographs?
Get in touch during your pregnancy and share your due date or expected month. Tell us whether you’re thinking about maternity, newborn, or both, and we’ll plan the timing with you. If your baby has already arrived, reach out so we can talk through the options.
Should we choose the studio, outdoors, or our home?
Our studio at Garver Feed Mill in Madison gives us an indoor setting with window light and warm brick walls. Outdoor photographs are an option when the weather allows. In Home sessions make your own surroundings part of the photographs. We’ll help match the setting to your session.
Can parents and older siblings be in the newborn photographs?
Yes. We welcome parents and siblings, and Deluxe gives us more time for photographs together as well as portraits of your baby. Let us know who’s coming and what you’d like included so we can help you choose the right session.
Do you photograph twins or multiples?
Yes. Our newborn session rates are the same for twins or multiples. Tell us about your family when you inquire so we can plan the session together.
What should we wear, and do you provide wardrobe help?
Start with clothes you feel comfortable wearing and like seeing yourself in. We’ll send an outfit guide, talk through your ideas, and help with combinations for the people in your photographs. Our client closet is also available by reservation, with a $30 cleaning fee per dress used.
How many digital images are included?
Maternity and newborn Mini sessions include 10 selected digital images, with more available to purchase. Maternity Deluxe and Adventure, and newborn Deluxe and In Home, include all edited digital images. Compare the sessions above for the time, setting, and printed pieces included.
When will we receive our photographs?
We’ll email your online gallery within 30 days of the session. You can also order prints and other artwork through the gallery.
Can we include maternity and milestone photographs in a plan?
Yes. Our First Year plans include four sessions, with combinations of Mini, Deluxe, and In Home options. We’ll help you plan maternity, newborn, and milestone photographs around what you’d like to remember. Read about the plans or ask us for the detailed guide.
Can we see more photographs from one session?

How do we reserve a session?
Start by telling us what you’re planning. We’ll coordinate the timing and send a booking proposal with a portrait contract to sign digitally. Single sessions are paid in full when you book; First Year plans use three installments. We’ll talk through the details with you before you reserve.
