Drop-in headshots
Our ten-minute drop-in sessions take place at our Garver Feed Mill studio on select dates from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. There’s no appointment or session fee. You purchase the images you choose.
We photograph you in natural light against the studio’s historic brick backdrop. There’s a mirror for checking your outfit and hair, with a lint roller and hair products available.
Within 7 days, you’ll receive a curated gallery of 5 to 10 images, each with our Standard Edit. Choose the photographs you want to keep, and decide whether you’d like the more detailed Signature Edit.

Each person receives one fully retouched Signature Edit, with one outfit or look. We use studio lighting at our studio and on location. We’ll plan the backdrop with you. Team images are delivered in 7 days.

Which kind of headshot session should I choose?
Choose drop-in for a quick studio update on a listed date, custom when you want an appointment with more control over the look and variety, or team headshots when you’re coordinating a group. If you’re unsure, tell us how you plan to use the photographs and we’ll help you choose.
Do I need an appointment for a drop-in session?
No. Visit our Garver Feed Mill studio from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on a listed drop-in date. The session takes about ten minutes, with no session fee. Custom and team sessions are arranged in advance.
What should I wear for my headshots?
Start with clothes that fit comfortably and feel right for the work you do. Think about where the photograph will appear and the people who will see it. We can plan wardrobe and backdrop choices together. The Core includes one outfit or look, The Professional includes two, and The Executive includes three. What if I feel awkward in front of the camera?
You don’t have to arrive knowing how to pose. We’ll guide you through the session and help you settle into a look that feels comfortable. Tell us what you like or dislike about past headshots so we have a useful place to start.
What is the difference between Standard and Signature Edits?
Standard Edits include natural color, lighting, and light skin retouching. Signature Edits add detailed hand retouching for skin, blemishes, and flyaway hair, with full-resolution, print, and web files. Drop-in images are $100 with a Standard Edit or $150 total with a Signature Edit. Every custom session includes Signature Edits.
When will I receive my headshots?
For drop-in sessions, your gallery arrives within 7 days. Standard Edit files you purchase are available to download immediately. Drop-in Signature Edits are delivered by email within 2 to 4 business days. Core, Professional, and team sessions include 7-day delivery. We’ll confirm delivery timing for Executive sessions when we plan yours. Rush Delivery within 48 hours is $50; pricing may differ for teams. Tell us about your deadline before the session.
Can you photograph us at our office or another location?
Team sessions can take place on location or at our studio. The Executive custom session also includes an on-location option. Tell us where you have in mind and the look you need. Travel outside Dane County is $50 per hour of drive time.
What do you need to plan a team session?
Send your headcount, preferred dates, location, and any company requirements for the photographs. Each person receives one fully retouched Signature Edit with one outfit or look. We’ll work through the schedule and backdrop together. Groups of 31 or more receive a custom quote.
