You just wrapped up a fantastic wedding consult. Laughs, stories, handshakes, and a few hugs later, you leave the meeting knowing that you sealed the deal. Perhaps you sealed the deal right then and there. The retainer lands in your account in just a few days. Six months later, you may (or may not) check-in with your new clients just to say hello. We developed this Wedding Photography Questionnaire over the course of several years to address the most important aspects of photographing a client’s wedding. It was evolved several times throughout the years based on our own experiences in photographing thousands of client weddings. The intent is to clearly define the five distinct sections of the wedding day: Getting Ready, Ceremony, Group Portraits, Couple's Portraits, and Reception. We do our best to go over likely scenarios that need to be covered and provide a mechanism for resolving those issues BEFORE the wedding day. This extended questionnaire is not for the faint of heart, it a seven-page document that fully covers the wedding day from start to finish.

To book your target wedding clients, you need to have exceptional communication from start to finish. Email is still the preferred medium to share the oodles of information you have with prospective brides and grooms, and using our robust email templates will bring your messaging full circle. We developed these templates for you to be drop-in ready for your business, but certainly you can (and should) customize them to your needs. They can be used by themselves, in an email template program such as Gmail, or in your studio management software (like ShootQ). The intent is not to cover every nuance related to the photographic process, but rather to lay out clear expectations your client can have of you, the photographer, as well as expectations you should have of the client.
