Senior Guys Outfit Ideas-How to Choose What to Wear and Examples of Some of Our Recent Seniors Who We Feel Chose Their Outfit Perfectly.
We know that choosing what to wear for senior pictures can feel overwhelming. This is true not only for the senior ladies but for the guys as well. Less is more, but the overall concept is similar for senior boys and girls. Neutrals, nothing overly bright, large patterns versus small, busy ones, tend to photograph best. Wear clothes that make you feel good, that are flattering, and that you can move in. Choosing clothing that makes you feel like yourself, something you’re comfortable in, and that highlights your personality is important. You want something you can move comfortably in that fits well and is flattering. These are pictures you’ll have forever that captures an important time in your life.
Here are five guys’ senior picture outfits that we feel nailed these concepts in different ways.
If you have a hobby or something that is important to you, why not include that with one of your outfits? This senior guy chose to use his Jeep as an accessory for one set of his photos. He kept his clothing neutral, with a dark, plain t-shirt, paired it with jeans and white sneakers so that it didn’t compete with the car, and the background neutral. He adds a simple necklace and watch as accessories as well. All of this comes together to present a relaxed, laid-back vibe.

This image is another example of how neutrals can be an excellent choice for senior photos. This senior guy chose to pair a long-sleeved navy button-up shirt with dark jeans. It’s a classic look that is anything but boring. It compliments his dark hair and skin tone, and you can tell he looks confident in what he’s wearing, which is precisely what you want for your senior photos.

We love how this senior guy chose to add some interest to his outfit by pairing his oatmeal-colored henley shirt with colored shorts. His shirt is fitted but neutral colored, which always photographs well, so the shorts being colored are not distracting and instead add some personality to the outfit. You can tell that he looks confident and happy in these images.

This senior guy decided to wear a suit for one of his outfits and we love that he had very different looks during his session (one of his other looks was his favorite band t-shirt and jeans). This dressy look is timeless and put together, mixing patterns in a way that is pleasing to the eye instead of distracting. He looks comfortable and confident. Trust us, you’ll never regret wearing something classic that will never go out of style.

If playing a sport is important to you, why not make your uniform one of your senior picture outfits? We love that this high school senior chose to wear his football uniform for this set of his session. You can see that he looks confident and is also having fun. Here the football field and bleachers become accessories and create an interesting background.
