That’s why this Madison senior session at Garver Feed Mill gave us so many looks in a single evening. Our studio lives inside this building, and we’ve shot here hundreds of times, but every session still finds something new.
A Location That Does the Heavy Lifting
Garver has this incredible range. One minute you’re standing against a massive weathered brick wall with deep texture and shadow, and the next you’re stepping into a garden path lined with green. We leaned into that contrast hard during this session, moving from industrial backdrops to soft, overgrown corners without ever getting in a car. The last stretch of this session was our favorite. Golden hour hit and the vine canopy near the pond turned into this glowing tunnel of green. We pulled in tighter for some of these frames because the light was doing all the work. The close-up portrait at the end, eyes down, just a hint of a smile, is the kind of quiet moment we always hope for. It doesn’t look posed. It just looks like her.
