Hello, Little One: A Newborn Spring Session
Tiny fingers, soft wraps, and the quietest kind of morning. This newborn spring session at our Garver Feed Mill studio was one of those days where everything settled into place from the very first frame.
Quiet Light, Simple Details
We kept this one clean and classic. Soft lighting, neutral wraps, and just enough floral detail to feel like spring without taking over the frame. Our studio inside Garver Feed Mill gives us full control over temperature and light. That matters more than most people realize when a newborn is involved. Babies set the pace. We build around that.
This little one barely stirred the entire session. She tucked right into each setup like she’d been doing this her whole life (all ten days of it). That calm energy is a gift, and we leaned into it. We pulled in close for every detail. The curl of her fingers. The way the bonnet framed her face. Soft pink tones against warm wood.
We’ve been photographing newborns for years, and these sessions still stop us in our tracks. There is something about those first days that never gets old. The smallness of it all. Parents hovering just out of frame, watching every tiny movement. That’s the stuff we want to hold onto for families. It’s exactly what our newborn photography is built around.
What makes your Garver Feed Mill studio a great space for newborn photography?
Our studio gives us complete control over lighting and temperature, so babies stay warm and settled the entire time. We also have a full collection of wraps, props, and backdrops on hand. Families don’t need to bring a thing.
When should I book a newborn session with Twig & Olive?
We recommend booking during your second or third trimester. That way we can reserve a date within the first two weeks after your due date, when babies are sleepiest and most comfortable in posed setups. Reach out here and we’ll get you on the calendar.
