Kaila & Jeff’s Industrial Chic Wedding at Terrace 167

Pampas grass, exposed brick, “Game Over” sneakers, and a whole lot of heart. Kaila and Jeff’s Terrace 167 wedding photography had personality baked into every single detail. These two showed up with bold color choices, a killer boho bouquet, and the kind of relaxed energy that makes our job feel effortless. The Richfield, WI venue matched them perfectly. Raw industrial texture met warm, romantic light that we could not stop chasing all day.

Getting Ready in Style

Terrace 167’s prep spaces gave us so much to work with before the day even started. Weathered brick walls, vintage signage, moody amber light. Kaila’s lace off-the-shoulder gown hung against a green industrial door. Her white studded cowboy boots sat on a rustic table just below it. The bouquet alone could have been its own editorial: dried roses, pampas plumes, feathers, and eucalyptus in warm neutral tones. We shot it all against that brick because the texture made every detail pop.

Jeff’s side was just as fun. White high-tops with custom “Game Over” embroidery? That told us everything about his sense of humor. His mom pinned the boutonniere to his gray suit in front of the venue’s signature brick wall. It was one of those quiet, tender moments we always watch for. Warm amber light poured through the space and gave us a gorgeous glow. Honestly, when a venue hands you light like that, you just stay out of its way.

An Outdoor Ceremony Under String Lights

The ceremony happened outdoors beneath a wooden arbor draped in deep red fabric and dried florals. Tall trees wrapped around every side of the space. Edison bulbs hung overhead, already casting a soft glow before the sun had fully set. We shot wide for the vow exchange because the scene deserved it: the arbor, the trees, the light, the whole bridal party in jewel tones. Emerald green, burnt orange, crimson. That palette against all the lush greenery was a photographer’s dream.

After the ceremony, the entire group piled onto the stone steps for a big celebratory shot. Hands in the air, huge smiles, pure chaos in the best way. Those unscripted eruptions of joy are always some of our favorite frames.

Portraits in the Wildflowers

One of the best things about Terrace 167 is what surrounds it. Just steps from the reception hall, overgrown fields full of Queen Anne’s lace stretch out in every direction. If you love the idea of golden hour portraits without driving somewhere, this venue hands it to you. We pulled Kaila and Jeff out during that soft, overcast window right before evening. The diffused light gave us even skin tones and rich, saturated color without any harsh shadows.

Kaila leaned in and kissed Jeff on the cheek while he sat on a stack of weathered wood pallets. They laughed. They pressed their foreheads together. Nothing was posed, nothing was forced. This is the kind of Terrace 167 wedding photography we love most: real connection, gorgeous surroundings, and two people completely at ease. They were so natural together that we could pull in close and they never flinched.

Reception Details and the First Dance

Back inside, the industrial character of Terrace 167 really came alive. Exposed brick, iron gears on the walls, chandeliers hanging from dark steel beams. A glowing “LOVE” marquee sign anchored the far wall. Long farm tables with white crossback chairs filled the room. Each one was topped with burgundy cheesecloth runners and pampas grass centerpieces. Every element felt cohesive and personal. We have a thing for venues that do the heavy lifting on atmosphere, and this space delivered.

Michael Mantas kept the energy moving all night. The first dance had Kaila and Jeff swaying under soft chandelier light. We stayed tight on their faces because that’s where the real emotion lives. Later, the floor was packed. 3 Guys and a Grill handled the food. The bar area had a “Mr & Mrs” barrel display and a custom drink menu. Spirits stayed high right through the last song. That shift from intimate first dance to packed dance floor is something we live for.

What makes Terrace 167 a great venue for wedding photos?

Terrace 167 gives you the best of both worlds. Inside, exposed brick, iron accents, and chandeliers create a moody, industrial chic atmosphere. Outside, you have lush ceremony grounds surrounded by mature trees, a vine-covered gazebo, and open fields perfect for golden hour portraits. The variety means your gallery will have a rich mix of looks without ever leaving the property.

What style of wedding works best at Terrace 167 in Richfield?

The venue is incredibly versatile, but it really shines for couples drawn to rustic, boho, or industrial chic aesthetics. Reclaimed wood, raw textures, and warm lighting pair beautifully with natural florals and earth-tone palettes. That said, more classic or modern designs look stunning here too. The architecture provides so much built-in character on its own.
