Wrapped in Warmth: A Studio Newborn Session

Soft wraps, tiny fingers, and a baby who slept through it all. This studio newborn session at our Garver Feed Mill space reminded us why the first two weeks are the ones we never want families to miss.

Clean, Simple, and All About Her

We kept the setup minimal for this one. Cream tones, natural textures, and just enough prop work to frame the baby without competing with her. That’s the approach we take with every newborn gallery: let the baby be the thing you can’t stop looking at.

One of our favorite frames from this session was the sibling shot. Two big sisters in a rattan chair, brand new baby in their arms, and not a single forced smile in sight. Kids that young don’t fake it. They either cooperate or they don’t, and these two were all in. We live for that kind of moment.

Our studio gives us full control over temperature and light, and with newborns, that changes everything. The baby sets the pace. If she needs to eat, we pause. If she needs to be held, we wait. There’s no rushing it, and honestly, that patience is where the best images come from.

The brown knit wrap against dried palm fronds gave us this earthy, textured palette that felt intentional without trying too hard. We pulled in tight on this one and let the details do the talking. Sometimes the quietest frames end up being the ones families print the biggest.
