What We’ve Been Writing
Tips, stories, and inspiration from our studio and the field.
“The Smirk, the Hand, the Eyes” | Garver Newborn Girl with Brothers
Catching that smirk, that helping hand, that perfect moment when a newborn's eyes flutter open. This siblings session at our Garver studio revealed three children in one frame, each detail whispering a different part of their story together.
Little One, Big Moment | Newborn Summer Studio Session
This newborn summer session at our Garver Feed Mill studio had that particular quiet that only happens in a baby's first weeks. We pulled in close for the detail shots, curled hands, impossibly tiny toes, because these are the things that change so fast you almost forget they were ever that small.
Running Wild | Sunset Family Session
When golden hour hit at Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, their little one took off running through the grass, and that's when we knew this session would be special. Open fields, tree-lined trails, and a family who let loose instead of posing made for the kind of moments that actually matter.
Hindu Wedding Photography Madison WI | Garver Feed Mill
This Hindu wedding moved through two complete ceremonies, two stunning wardrobes, and a packed dance floor all in one day. Snow fell outside while red and gold filled every corner inside, and we caught it all, from the quiet moments before the bride's sari draping to the couple's black and white snowy portraits at night.
Wild, Playful, and Perfect | August Sunset Family Session
This August evening at Schuster's Farm, golden hour hit the zinnia fields just right, and one little girl in white wandered through the rows completely unposed. We followed along as her sisters chased blooms and the sky turned soft behind them, catching the moments that happen when families forget the camera is there.
Downtown Madison Wedding Photographer | Capitol & Coopers Tavern
This February wedding took us from the marble halls of the Wisconsin State Capitol to an intimate celebration at The Cooper's Tavern, and the falling snow made every frame feel painterly. Watch the unscripted joy of their first look, the energy that bounced off those paneled walls during their vows, and one unforgettable kiss with snowflakes landing in their hair.
