Wild, Playful, and Perfect: An August Sunset Family Session

Golden hour hit the zinnia fields at Schuster’s Farm and everything just glowed. This August sunset family session was one of those evenings where the light did half the work and the kids did the rest.

Flower Fields, Bare Feet, and Zero Agenda

We tell every family the same thing before a session: just be yourselves. Play. Chase each other. Forget we’re here. This crew took that to heart. The girls ran through rows of zinnias and sunflowers like they owned the place. They stopped every few steps to pick a new favorite bloom. We followed along, shot wide to capture the color, and pulled in tight when the little moments happened on their own.

There’s a reason we love Schuster’s Farm for family photography. The flower fields give us color and depth you just can’t manufacture. Sunflowers towering behind a family. Zinnias at every height. That late-summer light filtering through it all. It’s the kind of backdrop that makes every frame feel alive.

One of our favorite images from the evening is just a little girl walking away from the camera through the rows. White dress catching the last bit of sun. Nobody told her to do that. She wandered off, and we were ready. Those are the frames families come back to years later.
