This Washington Arboretum family photography session captured during our May trip to Seattle showcases one of the city’s most beautiful natural settings. We had an incredible time working with this sweet family among the vibrant spring blooms and lush greenery of this spectacular botanical garden.

The Washington Park Arboretum stands as one of Seattle’s most photogenic locations, offering 230 acres of diverse landscapes and plant collections. The gardens feature winding paths, flowering trees, and peaceful water features that create endless possibilities for unique family portraits. Additionally, the carefully curated plant collections provide beautiful color and texture in every season.
May is particularly magical at the Arboretum, with rhododendrons, azaleas, and late-spring blooms creating spectacular backdrops. Furthermore, the soft, filtered light through the tree canopy creates ideal conditions for photography throughout the day. This combination of natural elements makes the Arboretum one of our favorite places in Seattle for family sessions.
