Kami & Brandon’s Rustic Glam Blake Hollow Barn Spring Wedding
Gold sequin bridesmaid dresses inside a weathered Wisconsin barn. That contrast pretty much set the tone for Kami and Brandon’s entire Blake Hollow Barn spring wedding, and we were here for every second of it. These two leaned all the way into the mix of country charm and polished glamour, and the result was a day that felt completely, unapologetically theirs.
Sequins, Weathered Wood, and the Best Kind of Energy
Kami got ready inside the barn’s loft space, and the warm wood walls and soft overhead light gave us a moody, intimate setting without any extra work. Her bridesmaids were in gold sequin gowns that caught every bit of light we had. Against the red and white barn siding outside, those dresses popped in a way that made our job almost too easy. One of our favorite frames from the morning is Kami sitting on an old couch in the loft, gown fanned out around her, slipping on her floral heels with a grin. That’s the kind of unscripted moment we live for.
Meanwhile, Brandon and his groomsmen were getting suited up inside a grain silo on the property. His dad straightening his tie, the guys helping him into his vest. The corrugated metal walls and curved ceiling gave those frames a totally different feel from Kami’s side. If you’re considering this venue, know that the variety of textures and backdrops across the property is a real gift for photography.
An Outdoor Ceremony with Open Sky
The ceremony happened outdoors under a simple wooden arch draped with white fabric. Rows of chairs fanned out across the grass, and the whole property stretched behind them, flat and open under a spring sky. Kami walked down the aisle with her dad, and we pulled in close for that moment because the expressions were everything. Brandon was trying to hold it together. He did not succeed, and honestly, those are the frames that always hit the hardest when couples see their gallery.
Their bridesmaids stood in a line of gold shimmer, holding blush and ivory bouquets with eucalyptus. A “Grow Old with Me” sign propped against a barrel near the ceremony entrance added a personal touch. From there the vows were heartfelt and the crowd was locked in. This is the kind of spring barn wedding Bagley couples dream about, and the weather cooperated perfectly.
Golden Hour on the Bagley Farmland
After the ceremony, we stole Kami and Brandon away for portraits. The golden hour light out here in Bagley is something else entirely. There’s no skyline competing for attention, just open fields stretching to the horizon and the sun dropping low and warm. The wind caught Kami’s veil and her hair at the same time, and we shot through it rather than waiting for it to settle. Those windswept frames ended up being some of our favorites from the whole day.
The property has old outbuildings, stacked fence posts, a metal Quonset hut, and acres of grass. Every corner gave us something different. At one point, the couple sat together on a pile of weathered lumber with the sunset behind them, and the light was so soft and warm that we barely had to direct them at all. They just leaned in. That’s when we do our best work, when a couple forgets we’re even there.
Twinkling Lights and a Suspended Cake
Inside the barn for the reception, Kami and Brandon went all in on the details. String lights wrapped around the exposed beams. A greenery wall with a neon “Better Together” sign framed the sweetheart table. Gold-painted bottles served as centerpieces, and custom illustrated coasters of the couple sat in a brass tray as favors. The styling was thoughtful without feeling overdone, and we made sure to document it all before the room filled up.
The showstopper, though, was the cake. A gold-brushed, multi-tier creation suspended from the ceiling on chains with crystal accents hanging between the layers. Pink roses and eucalyptus decorated each tier. Honestly, in all our years of shooting rustic spring wedding photography, we’ve never seen a suspended cake in a barn. It was bold and beautiful, and it perfectly captured who these two are as a couple.
Their first dance wrapped up the night with the same energy it started with. Brandon lifted Kami off the ground, her dress flowing, string lights glowing behind them, and the whole room cheering. That shift from polished ceremony to full-on celebration energy is something we live for. Kami and Brandon delivered it.
This beautiful day was made possible by an incredible team of vendors:

Spring in Bagley brings long golden hours and green rolling farmland. The outdoor ceremony space is wide open, so you get beautiful natural light all afternoon. One thing to plan for is wind. It can pick up across the fields, but honestly, that movement adds drama to portraits. The barn interior stays warm and cozy once the sun goes down, making the transition from outdoor ceremony to indoor reception feel seamless.
