We timed this session to catch peak bloom, and it paid off in every single frame. The light filtered through the canopy and gave us soft, warm tones without any harsh shadows to fight.

Mid-May is our favorite window. The lilacs and magnolias are in full bloom, and the green canopy is fresh without being overgrown. Early morning or golden hour on a weekday evening gives you the best light and the fewest people on the trails.
