Letting the Park Do the Work
Philippe Park gave us everything. Massive live oaks for shade, a sandy waterfront for open light, mangroves for that deep green backdrop. We moved through all of it in about an hour, and no two setups looked the same. That kind of variety keeps kids engaged and keeps the gallery interesting.
We pulled the whole crew together on those stone steps early in the session, and it was pure chaos in the best way. Everyone talking over each other, the youngest leaning into Dad, the older girls already cracking each other up. Those are the frames we live for. Not the stiff lineup. The real thing.

About an hour before sunset is ideal. The bay reflects warm light back onto the park, and the live oaks provide shade if the sun is still strong. We always recommend golden hour here because the combination of open water and tree cover gives us the most variety in a short window.
