Pure and Simple: Boho Neutrals Newborn Session
Dried florals, woven textures, and a baby girl who slept through the whole thing. This boho neutrals newborn session at our Garver Feed Mill studio was exactly the kind of quiet, intentional morning we love most.
Soft Light, Warm Tones, One Very Sleepy Baby
We kept the palette earthy and pared back for this one. Creamy knits, dried blooms, natural wicker. Every prop was chosen to let this little girl be the focal point. She made our job easy by staying perfectly still the entire session. We pulled in close for the tiny details (fingers, lashes, that little floral crown) because those are the things parents forget fastest.
Our studio gives us total control over lighting and temperature. That matters more than most people realize with newborns. Warm room, soft window light, no surprises. A controlled environment is a huge part of why these sessions feel so calm. Baby sets the pace, and we work around her.
The black and white family frames from this session are some of our favorites. There’s a tenderness in those first moments that translates beautifully into monochrome. Dad’s hands, mom’s expression, the way they both lean in. We live for that kind of frame. If you’re exploring newborn photography in Madison, these are the quiet, honest images we aim to deliver every time.
What does a newborn session at your Garver Feed Mill studio include?
Our studio sessions include a curated collection of wraps, blankets, props, and backdrops so you don’t need to bring a thing. We photograph posed portraits, close-up details, and family frames so your final gallery covers every angle of those first days.
When should I book a newborn session with Twig & Olive?
We recommend booking during your second or third trimester so we can reserve a tentative date. Newborn sessions are typically scheduled within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most comfortable being posed. Reach out here and we’ll walk you through the process.
