Sometimes the best maternity sessions need nothing but open sky and two people completely present with each other.
This Madison maternity session inside Garver Feed Mill was pure quiet romance. Pampas grass, soft brick walls, and two people completely wrapped up in each other created the kind of easy chemistry that needs almost no direction. The studio light did the heavy lifting, and we got to capture everything in between.

When we photographed this couple's wedding day, we knew we'd want to document the chapters ahead. Years later, they called us back for maternity portraits at the UW Arboretum in February, and the quiet winter light gave us something we didn't expect: the most intimate frames of bare branches, soft sky, and two people completely at ease because we'd already walked one big day together.
