John’s Lake Conservation Area feels wild in the best way. Live oaks stretch wide and low, draped in moss that catches the light and creates these natural canopies you couldn’t build if you tried. We timed this session for golden hour, and it paid off. Every frame had that soft, glowing warmth that only happens when the sun is right at the tree line.
She showed up in a white off-shoulder lace dress that caught every bit of that Florida light. No over-directing, no stiff posing. Just her, the field, and the glow. We pulled in close for some frames and shot wide for others, letting the landscape do its job. It’s one of the best outdoor locations we’ve shot at in the Winter Park area. The Spanish moss canopies and open fields give you variety within a short walk, and the golden hour light filters through the oaks beautifully. We recommend timing your session for the last hour before sunset.
