Golden hour hit and everything just turned on. The dried grasses caught fire in the light. The brick warmed up to this deep amber. Our senior showed up with three outfit changes and zero hesitation. This fall outdoor senior session at Garver Feed Mill was one of those evenings where the location and the light did half the work for us.
Three Looks, One Sunset
She came ready. Denim jacket over florals for the first look. Then a patchwork jacket with all kinds of personality. Then a sleek black sweater and white jeans to close it out. Each outfit shifted the mood, and we leaned into that. The floral look felt playful and loose, so we shot wider. We let the prairie grass do its thing around her. The black sweater was more editorial. We pulled in tighter and let the rock piles and brick carry the frame.
Garver gives us so much range in a small footprint. Within a five-minute walk you’ve got industrial brick, dark rock rubble, open prairie, and wooden debris that catches light like it was placed on purpose.
